Answers you can defend.

Good advice has to do more than sound right. It has to make commercial sense, fit the way an organisation works, account for risk, and lead to something people can actually deliver.

How we work

Your point of contact is a Principal

Sagetor brings the right capability to each engagement, with a Principal as your direct point of contact from the first conversation through to delivery. Which Principal depends on the work and the stage it has reached.

You always deal with a Principal.
A Principal takes the brief, scopes the work and is your point of contact. You are never handed down to someone more junior.
The right people deliver it.
Work is carried out by the Principals, by trusted consultants, or by both, depending on what the engagement needs.
Your Principal holds the work together.
Scope, quality and how the pieces fit are your Principal's job, not yours.
Accountability stays with a Principal.
Whoever contributes, your Principal remains accountable for the advice you receive.

AI that earns its place

Finding a use for AI is rarely the difficulty. Adopting it without exposing sensitive information, breaching an obligation nobody realised applied, or rolling out a tool that quietly goes unused: that is the difficulty.

General practice concentrates both the opportunity and the risk, so we treat it as its own piece of work.

Sagetor advises on the safe operational use of AI in healthcare settings, including AI onboarding for general practice. We do not provide clinical care, clinical decision-making or medical advice.

How this work is actually done

Why this practice

Judgement earned somewhere real

The advice rests on work the Principals have already done.

  • Multi-million-dollar projects and initiatives, including major hospital expansion programs.
  • Advisory committee and executive-level work in complex organisations.
  • Direct advice to chief executives and peak bodies.
  • Businesses built, scaled and prepared to raise.

This experience was accumulated by the Principals in prior roles and advisory positions, with and for other organisations. It predates Sagetor and is not presented as work delivered under the Sagetor name.

For purpose

Ten per cent of the profit, to a charity the client chooses

Sagetor is a for-purpose advisory practice. For consulting engagements that generate a profit, we will contribute 10% of the profit attributable to the engagement to a registered charity chosen by the client.

We do this because we want to, not because anyone requires it of us. The contribution is worked out after the engagement's costs have been finalised, including the cost of our own time, so nothing is due where an engagement breaks even or makes a loss. Where a client does not nominate a charity, the contribution is shared between MS Australia and Beyond Blue.
