Capabilities
Six capabilities, one discipline
The problems differ. The approach does not: define the problem precisely, understand the people and systems involved, test the assumptions, then build the response. Each capability below is a context where that discipline is applied.
Ways of working
Engagements sized to the problem
Three engagement shapes cover most of the work. Scope and fees are agreed in writing before anything begins.
No piece of work is too large or too small to be worth a conversation. Some engagements run for months. Others are one question answered properly in a week.

Diagnostic
A short, fixed-scope engagement, typically two to four weeks, that frames the problem, tests the critical assumptions and ends in a written assessment with a recommended path. Useful on its own, whether or not further work follows.
Defined outcome
Project
A scoped piece of work with agreed deliverables: an AI implementation, a product definition and build, a process redesign, a service review, an engagement program. Timeboxed, milestoned and priced before it starts.
Ongoing counsel
Advisory
Continuing strategic support at a set monthly cadence: a fractional strategy capability for organisations that need senior thinking on tap without a senior hire. Reviewed quarterly, cancellable without drama.
Where people usually start with us
Government departments
A program that has to work in practice and withstand review: service design, governance, engagement that informs the decision, and implementation planning.
Private companies
A commercial decision needing a model someone can interrogate, an operating problem that keeps returning, or a transaction the business is not yet ready for.
General practices
Staff are already using AI tools, or soon will be. What is safe, what patient information must never reach a tool, and how to train the team properly.
NGOs and peak bodies
Participation that changes decisions rather than decorating them, service and program design, and governance support that outlasts a funding cycle.
Startups and founders
Idea validation, an honest read on whether to pivot, a financial model that stands up to questioning, and pitch preparation before venture capital.
Not sure where to start?
Start with the problem, not the service
Many engagements touch more than one capability. An AI project surfaces a process problem. A product idea raises a strategy question. A service review calls for stakeholder engagement. Because the capabilities sit in one practice, the work moves between them without a handover.
If you are unsure which capability fits, describe the situation instead. Two or three sentences about what you are trying to solve, improve or build is enough for us to respond with a view on the right starting point, or to say plainly if we are not the right fit.
